" Past Shows
"Gallery walls are the conventional way to display art, but this summer the UBC Botanical Garden will be the backdrop for an exciting exhibition. Art In The Garden takes place this August in the heart of the UBC Botanical Garden with an exhibition of works by 20 B.C. artists. Art In The Garden will include art from the garden, art for the garden, art inspired by the garden, and of course all displayed in the garden. You’ll see all types of artworks from garden fountains to bird feeders, jewellery to ceramics, works in glass to works in metal, large and small sculptures, and a variety of photography and painting styles.
Sponsored by the North Vancouver Community Arts Council, the Art in Public Places Programme "celebrates emerging art and artists through a professional
exhibit in a public place, which serves both to promote artists and increase public awareness of art."
